I thought I heard "Trenton Holloway" but I couldn't verify it.

the telecast last night was terrible. its really sad when ESPN puts out a product like that, although i cant say im surprised

He stopped calling him Rahim and just referred to him as Chad Jones brother after that...

Yeah, I yelled at that dumbass a couple times after he said Patterson three or 4 times in a row. Davie finally got it right on about the 5th try. Do they really not do a little homework on the kids names before the broadcast? He also couldn't say Cutrera's name come hell or high water! Makes you think they don't know what the hell they're talking about on anything. Those are not hard names. Locker was as good as advertised, faster and better runner than Tebow. Not as good with his arm though. Without him, they score 7 last night.

Doing play-by-play for college has to be tough for a lot of factors.

There are 85 guys to know. There are 119 teams. And the fans follow the team so closely, they know when you screw it up.

And all the being said, they still did a pretty poor job last night. I can only imagine how bad they screwed up some of Washington's Samoan names.

He was lighting some guys up. He has no problem throwing his added weight around. One of the best athletes I have seen at LSU

BULL........CRAP!!!!!!!!!!

The announcers go through several pre-production meetings, during which they are given information from each team's SID. Among the items given to them is a list of pronuciations for players whose names might be difficult to pronounce, or easy to mispronounce. Also, the potential stars of the game are talked about ad nauseum, so there is simply NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER for those two clowns to butcher ANYONE'S name for ANY team.

Plus, the producer of the telecast should be in the truck with the ability to talk directly to the announcers to tell them when they've misidentified someone or said someone's name improperly.

When I first saw that Jones and Davie had this game over a month ago, I knew it would be a steaming pile of dog crap, and it was.

And the guy they had running the main game camera needs to never work again. All those damned extreme wide shots to start every play were beyond annoying.
