It sounds like Sarkisian is going to play call similar to the Rose Bowl game last year between USC and Penn State. Carroll always forced Sarkisian to call conservative to keep the turnovers low and rely on their defense, but in the Rose Bowl, he let Sarkisian open up the offense and take a lot of shots down field. It was by far Mark Sanchez's best game passing of the year too. It will be interesting to see the results. I wish we could test out the offense against someone other than LSU to start the season though. We don't really have anything to lose because nobody is giving us a chance, so it wouldn't surprise me to see very aggressive play calling. Mine as well take the chance.

Heck, I think that's a smart strategy. Like our Husky friend said, They've got nothing to lose. It wouldn't surprise me if we didn't come out a bit tight insofar as soooooo much has been made of last year's failures. Hope they turn that not into a fear of losing again but a determination to beat every opponent by playing their best. If the former, it might take a while for LSU to get going & if UW makes a quick score or two...if the latter, UW will be just another defeated foe. I think with JJ's leadership & the fact that the guys have new coaches and renewed confidence...we're going to be fine this year. Maybe not a MNC, but I can see us in the SECCG just as clearly as Bama. Can't see OM because I've never seen OM in the SECCG! Now let's just do it!
