Says Danny McCray is starting SS "right now" but Brandon Taylor may end up winning the spot.
He wouldn't committ on who are the starting Cornerbacks. Says Jai, Hawkins and PP will all play significant time.

i was under the impression that mccray was rarely going to play this year after hearing about taylor, hatcher, and brooks battling it out for the SS spot

The way I took his statement was that McCray is the starter and Taylor would have his shot to play, but McCray is the #1 guy right now.

McCray has been solid his entire time here. He wasn't the problem last year and it wouldn't kill us to have a little senior leadership on the field.

I agree ...he can tackle and play the run effectively, but he is too sluggish and not talented enough to tackle good athletes (Florida et al) ...and we know how poor his coverage skills are mostly do to his very average range and speed
dude can tackle...but when we play teams with great athletes they make him look foolish
