Sources say that he had a workout up in Philly today. Chances are 99% that he will in fact sign and forgo his college career at LSU. They have until monday at midnight to get the deal done.
It's a shame that the slot restrictions Bud Selig put out on the teams in 07 have only made the system worse. LSU may lose it's top two pitchers in the 6th and 7th rounds for signing over 1.2 mill each respectively.

Forgive me for not getting it, but can you please explain this point and how "slotting" has anything to do with LSU losing a player who signed for 1.2 million (and another who is reported to be near a high dollar deal)?
