After all teh stuff that is going down with the Morton Ranch deal and OSU on the verge of getting slammed for their paying them, Lewis is a fool, but momma and pops could not resist the.$$$

1. Joe Mitchell is done at OSU, his transcript is the main one under investigation. Apparently the transcript sent to LSU differs from the one sent to OSU which is what really brought out red flags. This is a federal offense for tampering with transcripts.
2.As for Venson, he has not come up much except for being associated with the alleged shady "trainers" at Champion Sports Performance. One person referred to them as "street agents" His transcript WILL be scrutinized though for simply being associated w/Morton Ranch.
3. Champion Sports Performance is associated with Carter as well, he's the prominent player listed on the site. It's doubtful Carter is eligible to play this year as questions about his residency are abound. One rumor is he was living in his previous residence and various coaches were rotating taking him to school, another is that he lived with someone at Champion Sports Performance and it was funded through slush money at MRHS.
4. Chris Parr's deal may have been the straw that broke the camel's back..apparently Champion Sports Performance did a camp in Waco earlier this summer and Parr magically ended up at Morton Ranch w/no previous ties to the school.
5. There's a nasty divorce with a coach and his wife who is a teacher at MRHS and apparently she was the possible whistle blower and caused the S to hit the fan. We are talking soap opera stuff here....INSANE"

We dropped the ball on this one......BAD. Lewis is going to be an absolute STUD. Why not offer Hurd just to get Lewis? If anything, at wosrt, Hurd can be a career special teamer. He could have taken Houston Bates Scolly. Bates isn't going to be anything other than a Special teams guy. At least we would have gotten a future all-american out of it.
