grant was never worth the money we paid. Smith has not produced up to the level of the contract we gave him, but he has the ability to play at that level. The problem is the old regime made him get bigger and he lost his 4.55 speed and pass rushing

hopefully smith gets into the 265-270 range and is allowed to use his speed/burst to disrupt plays

grant? we're just kind of stuck with him. we signed him because our D blew and he was one of the better players on it. the fanbase would have lost confidence in the franchise if we let grant go. we should be able to afford cutting him after this year

I know Grant will never be the prototypical speed rusher like Dwight Freeney. However, he can't rely solely on his bulk to get to the quarterback. He needs to find that happy medium with his weight so he can have that explosive burst and be able to keep his wind the whole game. IMO 280 is a good size
