Just take the water filtration. I learned about that in 3rd grade science and even did experiments with it, but if I had a bag of sand and a bucket of charcoal next to the garbage can I'm not entirely sure that my 34 year old brain would put the pieces together without the helpful whispers of a show producer

They're all degreed professional white collar workers. To them conflicts are resolved with memos and meetings with HR. They'll learn. I think it's cool how quickly the crazy haired professor dude has realized he needs to toughen up.
