Vick as a back-up to Brees:
If Brees were to go down, I don't know if any available quarterback would be able to come in and right the ship.

Vick as a QB:
M. Vick was never that good of a quarterback. He had a rocket arm, but never read defenses that well, was never that accurate and never reacted that quickly. He was like a one read then run type QB. That was when he was playing and practicing every week. His reaction skills are probably worse now that he's been out of the game for a while.

Vick as and Athlete:
M. Vick was a hell of an athlete. He probably was one of the best I've ever seen. Term to worry about there though is was. What kind of shape is he in? Can he still run like he did? How will his body hold up now that he is older?

Vick to the Saints:
I don't like this move and it doesn't make much sense. If your offense is built around passing, you don't bring in a running quarterback, especially if his passing skills are suspect and you now have to question his athletic skill as well. Brunell did a good job last year in the preseason, and would hopefully get us through a game or two if need be. Finally, we don't "need" him, so why bring in someone who will distract from the team more than he will contribute.
