I'm really concerned with all this talk of how Brock could throw Fedor around like a rag doll. How Brock is too big, strong, ect. Well for those of you who dont know who Fedor Emelianenko is, we'll start with his record. 30-1 with that 1 loss being a no contest 9 years ago. Some of Fedor's notable wins are Arlovski, Sylvia (36 seconds) both UFC champs. Linland, Hunt, Coleman x's2 former UFC champ, Big Nog x's3, Cro-Cop, Randleman, Goodridge, Fujita, Herring, Arona. and for the people who have kept up with MMA should know who those people are, and how impressive that list really is. Not only we're those wins, but 95% of them he dominated. Tim Sylvia said Fedor hits the hardest out of anyone he's ever faught, and that list includes Andrei Arlovski, and Ricco Rodriguez. Now, for all the Brock huggers and new MMA experts, please explain to me, how, besides the lay and pray, Brock really has a chance. In reality, the guy is 4-1 and now he's the best ever? Im sure i heard that same crap about Kimbo too, and we see how that worked out. And if you really want to see what Fedor does in the lay and pray, check out the video of him and Hong-Man Choi.
When Brock spits off 26 more wins in a row we'll talk about how good he is then. For now he's a sitting duck, and personally, i dont think he'll make it to Fedor, im almost positive Carwin would beat him if he gets the chance

To be the man you have to beat the man...I hope Dana can make the Fedor vs Lesnar happen. FWIW I think Fedor will destroy him.

Fedor's a punk for not fighting in the UFC.

they fought 3x, but Fedor only beat him twice, the other fight was stopped when Fedor got cut by a headbutt

I would take Brock in that fight but I in no way think he would "throw him around like a ragdoll"

It's really not even a question imo that Fedor would win. Those that honestly think Brock would win either:

A.Are wrestling fans
B.Have watched MMA, but only UFC and/or WEC
C.Have never seen Fedor, even on Youtube

This is kind of a Ali/Tyson question imo when Tyson was 18-20.

Lesnar hasn't fought a bunch of cans though. Mir, Herring, and Randy were legit competition.

I'm not saying he'd win, but I think there's a case to be made that he could.

Disagree. Mir was legit. Herring has lost the majority of his fights in UFC. Randy was what 50-60lbs. lighter than Brock on fight night? Remember Brock cuts to 265, he's not at 265 when he walks in the octagon.

yeah, they arent cans but they arent really at the level of the fighters they were. Except
Mir, he's still a beast. Couture is 150 and Herring is a stop gap. Also Lesnar didnt dominate Herring and Couture. He won but didnt show anything special. Carwin will be his biggest test if he can get past his next fight. He's got size, skill, and experience.

the Fedor/Pride nut huggers are coming out of the woodwork. they must be really scared of Lesnar in order to elicit such a response.

to compare Lesnar to Kimbo is much worse than someone thinking Lesnar could beat Fedor.

Agreed

Lesnar is a great wrestler, much more legit than Kimbo. Fedor is Fedor though. "You just don't jump in the ring with Ali because you think you can box."

Wandy's washed up, Rampage could be the man but Sugar might beat him, Shogun will... WILL be the champ. He's healthy and thats what was missing in his Griffin fight. Rua was the #2 pound for pound in the world. i think the octagon messed with Cro-Cop he fights in the ring.

I personally think it would be a damn close fight. Fedor is awesome, but I really think he is past his prime. I would only put money on the underdog here.

Andrei Arlovski.

5-4 since 2006, including getting knocked out in about 20 seconds in his last fight.

I just hope Fedor fights some of the UFC guys soon...b/c his window is closing. The MMA game has advanced a TON in the last 2-3 years, and it's a higher level of fighter now. I hope he gets to face more of them before his peak is over, which he is very close to as it is.

you know Fedor and Brock are the same age? with Brock being the champ, i dont see how the HW's have evolved all that much. i hope they get to fight and its not another Couture/Fedor heartbreak

yes, but Lesnar is just scratching the surface of learning MMA techniques. Fedor can't advance that much more b/c of his experience, and 30+ MMA fights is a lot for anyone. He sure seems older than 32.

i think all weight classes have evolved, HW included. Lesnar already being champ speaks more to his freak level of athleticism than anything. Also, he isn't just swinging for the fences all fight like in the early UFC HW days.

agreed. I'm in a "i'll believe it when i see it" stage.

im with you on the superfight, Fedor wont sign with the UFC because he cant fight sambo if he does, and Affliction lets him do it. Brock is a freak, but in Mir I all he was doing was throwing those weird looking punches, i mean im sure they hurt he's a big guy but he has no technique. Him being the champ isnt a testament to his ability, rather the UFC's marketing department. thats where i was going witht he Kimbo reference. The champ after 3 fights? he's not THAT good. he's already lost 1. Carwin 11-0 thats deserving if 4-1 is.
