Dandy reports this game will be played next year in Atlanta to start the season. Any truth to this?

UNC is likely to open the season in Atlanta next year against an SEC opponent. LSU, Georgia, & Ole Miss are being considered.

By next year I assume you are talking about year after next , that being 2010.

This would be great. I live in NC i could drive down to ATL and see the game. The only thing to make this better is for LSU to crush them.

Opening up vs. a pretty good UNC team in Atlanta is a recipe for disaster. LSU is usually pretty rusty the first half or so of the season. This game would be fun for the fans, but the team doesn't need it.
