No, I'm saying there probably isn't a big difference in ratings but it might be more expensive for ESPN to cover college baseball than to film one strongman event or poker tournament and show it over and over again. If there was money to be made off showing college baseball than ESPN would do it, they're a business, it's not like they just have a natural hatred for certain sports (or universities).

Maybe a travelling tour set up across the country to limit expenses. Maybe along the I-10 corridor from LA to Jacsonville. There is money to be made, just not tons. Does it justify coverage, they don't believe so... but I doubt it is something ESPN has thouroughly explored. Advertisers are where the cash is at and I am sure the spots for sale during a world's strongest man competiton (re-run!) is relatively cheap. Look, if ESPN can set up shop to cover some mid major basketball programs that won't do shite for ratings, it can cover a major college baseball game. UF/Fla State, Rice/Texas, LSU/Illinois, etc. were some good ones to cover this past season, not to mention key conference games. The excuses are as flimsy as their effort.
