NFL had a farm system

The Richmond Roadrunners were the Saints farm team. Wonder if this would work today????

Yeah man. Then we can pay rookies $55 million a year to play farm ball. God I hate the rookie salaries.

A rookie salary cap is desperately needed.

As for the farm system, I don't know if it would succeed because of the NCAA. People follow NFL and NCAA Football and that's about it. The AFL isn't doing that well and not that many people watch the CFL. NFL Europe didn't succeed.

What would be interesting is what would happen when Bryce Brown, M. Clarret, Willie Williams, etc. would skip college to go strait to the NFL developmental league...
