it is only fair to spread out the dessert only tables equally...

How many places get more than one of those a night, if more than one a week?

Sounds like the person that pissed this poster off was not even his wait person to begin with.

I don't want to be too harsh on him, but since it sounds like he got good service from the rest of the wait team, I really think he should have tipped AT LEAST 20% and possibly around 25% since he was taking up a table JUST for dessert. But, that's just me.

I don't know sounds like maybe the regular waiters are staying with the dinner tables and they are letting the secondary wait staff handle the dessert tasting tables...someone messed up and the regular waiter was not informed and they sat them in his or her section by mistake...they are not about to ask them to move...but hell I don't really know...I'm just guessing....I needed reservations every time I went and they were always full....but It was always a weekend.

But who gets the tip? If his original waitress even gets one dollar of it then I would have a problem. She did nothing and even may have made the event awkward. If you step into Stella! no matter if you are there to spend 70 or 300 you 100% SHOULD receive the same level of service that their reputation upholds. It is the dining staff that is there to please the customer not the other way around. Again he spent 75 on dessert..
