LSU rain delay will be at least two hours

HOOVER, Ala. - The rain delay in the SEC tournament game between LSU and Georgia will be at least two hours, officials have announced, and the teams have been sent back to their hotel casting the whole enterprise in some doubt. It seems highly unlikely, in any event, that baseball will start again before 4 or 5 p.m. at the earliest.

SEC commissioner Mike Slive has the discretion to call the game, which top seeded LSU (43-16) leads 7-0 in the top of the first inning, and force a one-game playoff tomorrow morning, with the winner advancing to the tournament championship to face No. 8 seed Vanderbilt.

We know he can call the game, and probably will. But would he erase stats from the books is what I was asking.
