Made that drive year and half ago moving son to Ft. Lewis. Approx 2700 miles in 42 hours with no weather issues. Cost of gas at time about 3.40 gallon. Cheaper to fly.
If you drive, two tips. The Interstate rest areas we are use to on the Gulf Coast are paradise compared to some you will find on a drive to Seattle. Bring a pee bottle.
Second, it is against the law (or was then) to pump your own gas in Oregon.
