The only difference is the priority. The majority of people in Louisiana put LSU first and the Saints second, but there is a nice contingent that puts the Saints first and LSU second. That
said, it's all the same group of people.

right. The dividing line seems to be people from the NOLA area compared to everyone else in the state. People from NOLA tend to put the Saints first, the rest of the state puts LSU first.

Also, a higher % of Louisiana residents are LSU fans compared to Saints fans.

Do some people people in BR hate all things NOLA? yes. Same with some people in NOLA hating all things non-NOLA....the hate actually seems more prominent from the Nola folks.

This has historically been somewhat true of the whole state vs. New Orleans. For the longest time, the rest of the state resented the fact that New Orleans was the seat of all money and power in the state by virtue of being far and away the largest city. As that margin narrowed, and the center of power and wealth started moving ever so slightly north and west in the state, the resentment began to run the other way as well. As populations have become more transitory in the modern era, the regional resentments have lost some of their potency, but the undertones still exist.

I put LSU first. I have season tickets to LSU the last saints game i wanted to go to was the ATL game. For me, the saints broke my heart as a kid and I stopped carrying.
