I hope he turns out to be a great DB, as we all do. I'm just not that convinced yet. If he does have a great season, I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong. 
To the guy above, it does matter because if you watched him play, he always suffered against higher competition. Nobody is going to sit here and argue that the Big Ten is full of powerhouse programs.
