Anyway, I agree that Alley is overrated. Not that he was no good, but he had 2 good games and all of a sudden everybody thought he was the best RB in LSU history. He was not. That is overrated.

he never got enough carries to put up monster season

but he average liked over 6 YPC that season with 10 TD's. And like 900 yards.

I still think Alley was overrated, but he did have the 2nd best season in the last 9 years going by YPC.

LSU Rushing Leaders
2000 - Toefield 675 yds, 165 carries, 4.09 avg.
2001 - Toefield 992 yds, 230 carries, 4.31 avg
2002 - Davis 931 yds, 193 carries, 4.82 avg
2003 - Vincent 1001 yds, 154 carries, 6.5 avg
2004 - Broussard 867 yds, 142 carries, 6.1 avg
2005 - Addai 911 yds, 187 carries, 4.87 avg
2006 - Hester 440 yds, 94 carries, 4.68 avg
2007 - Hester 1017 yds, 225 carries, 4.52 avg
2008 - Scott 1174 yds, 217 carries, 5.41 avg.

Broussard has the smallest sample of all of these guys and has the least amount of career yards of them all as well.
