Perhaps the 'nicked up' injuries or the mysterious injury that sidelined him one game? How about stepping out of bounds ala Reggie? His toughness is in question by many scouts & analysis, agree or not.

i dont mind a player stepping out of bounds instead of taking a hit. Why take a hit when you dont have to?
Comparing him to Reggie is just stupid though. Wells CAN run between the tackle. And he doesn't exactly shy away from contact between the hash marks
