The original Hooters is there if you are looking to say you have been to the original.
Haven't been in a long time, but if possible to get to Tarpon Springs (10-20 min drive) they have real Greek food. They call it "the docks" or "the sponge docks" and there is a Greek village. Worth walking around and eating at one of the cafes.

Its the sponge docks, because they still leave from there to go get sponges out of the water. If you like Greek food/culture at all its worth going. The best Greek restaurant is a little away from the dock area, but i honestly cant remember the name off the top of my head, its a Greek name. Its on Alt 19 east of the docks.
But back to the original question. There's a place called Grillsmith across from Countryside Mall. My parents go all the time and the couple times Ive been there i have not been disappointed.
Also there are a couple Five Guys burger places in the area. One is in Largo near the St Pete/Clearwater Airport. Great lunch spot, try the hot dogs.

Just about all the restaurants are owned by the same guy and the food is virtually identical from place to place.
