Not hating on the kid but there's no way he starts under center in Washington for any other reason other than injury. Les is going to say all kind of shite from now until the end of Spring but it's just to keep the competition going. He knows JJ will be starting in September.

do you think we're set at QB or will we struggle at the position next season?

Depends on what you mean by set. I believe JJ is good enough to get the job done and many here believe JL has improved tremendously since last year. If we're all right then YES we're set.

I’ve said it before. We will struggle again this year. Teams now have film on JJ. And he will go through all of the growing pains that anyone would as a new starter, especially as a young starter. (Just as JL did last year.) Also a big difference playing Florida, Bama and such as compared to a bad Arkansas team and an over rated GT team. If you don’t believe that and think that he will play like a Heisman canidate all year, then well, what can I say to that?

I think JL will improve greatly to this year. Just as I would expect JJ to improve greatly to the next year if he plays all season. I really don’t care who starts as long as they are the best we have.

If your team is set up right, you hand off the starting job to a junior or RS junior, so that they have time to learn, adjust and gain experience leading up to being the starter. Perfect example was RP. He was being properly groomed to be the starter in time. (Had he stayed, JL or JJ or whoever would have been properly groomed to be the next starter.)

The problems JL had last year and the problems that JJ (yes he will have many) this year are a result of RP screwing up the normal flow of having players ready. He is who I blame our QB problems on. Kid had the world in his hands and threw it away. Hope for his future he gets it right.
