Clint Eastwood= John Singleton

All style, no substance to his movies. He produces alot of fluff crap based on his past reputation of Dirty Harry. I didn't like some of Spike's earlier work, but he seemed to turn the corner with Bamboozled. He isn't a race baiter. He touches sensitive issues which really makes caucasians take a look at themselves and finally admit to themselves,

you guys are crazy, read most of y'all comments, Spike has had a long time to develop his craft so he should be a good director, his best movies IMO are Macolm X, He Got Game, and Inside Man, but he put out absolute garbage when he started like School Daze. East wood has been making quality movies for awhile now, and as more than one oscar to his credit, so hands down he is the better director.

You are entitled to your opinion, and I respect that, but I disagree with you. What does Dirty Harry have to do with anything. What does it have to do with Unforgiven, Heartbreak Ridge, Pale Rider, Bridges of Madison County, A Perfect World, Midnight In the Garden of Good & Evil, Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River, etc.

You can defend Spike Lee all you want by saying he it thought provoking, but I think most people see right through him and see him as a race baiter. For someone so concerned about the stause of race relations in this country, he throws around the topic like he has ownership of it because he is a black man. He uses his propaganda pieces to ram it down your throat that there is a HUGE problem. While it is a problem, it is not nearly as bad as portrayed in his movies or rhetoric. He has an agenda that he is constantly beating on. The message is - repent white man, you do/did us wrong.

In the grand scheme of things, he is a lightweight in the industry. His films have thier audience, I mean hell, Tyler Perry's films have an audience too, but they are not even a blip on the radar anymore. His racial bullshite message is played out. Everyone already knows what you get when you go see one of his movies. Thus, his audience is not expanding, it is shrinking. You cannot say the same about Clint Eastwood.
