i keep reading all these quotes from chad jones the past week or so and I gotta say I'm getting pretty damn pumped.

frickin A, you won't see a safety coming in the nickle back anymore, lsu will have a disciplined secondary, a smarter coach and scheming, and you will see the d-line shifting pre snap and stunting almost every play, the defense will be back next year.

good article, thanks the fools that keep sayin the kid has underachieved since he's been there need to read it, when your doing all the things they had him doing, you would be kinda lost also, but he still made plays despite that.

Agree, everyone labeled him the next laron even though they have never seen him play, just bc he was the #1 safety prospect. Chad jones is not as physical as laron, but may be a bit more athletic with the ball in the air. 2 completely different players.

I agree with Mmorsey, I've always thought Jones possessed the skills to be a great centerfielder and I'm not talkin baseball, he can hit but he's not the same type of violent collision hitter like Laron was, but if played at his natural FS safety position on a regular basis, he can develop into a great tracker when the ball is in the air. so no I don't think he'll be an Atwater type because Atwater was a harder hitter, but he could be a bigger Ed Reed with his athleticism.

He likes to go to the dime in passing situations, and lsu defenitely has plenty of talented db's.
