I'm not sure who is correct. The OP's first post sounded good, but he didn't give good replies to the people that shot him down.
I wouldn't be surprised if some people believe anything that sounds good because they want to believe it wasn't the officiating. It's not fun to have to complain about the officiating or to see others do it.
