I think JL's progress needs to be made in reading defenses and understanding what to do. If he's comfortable with the field, then he will be more athletic because he can anticipate and react faster. He doesn't need to run, he needs to be able to avoid pressure and know where to throw the ball.

If everyone progresses at the same level I would expect JJ to start and JL to be the backup. I think Shepard will play the same role regardless and lineup at QB 4-8 snaps a game, mostly running. But will also move to receiver, RB, etc. Not exactly a 2 QB system.

Definitely that, but I think he most needs to grow some balls/moxie/confidence. It might be that he can't. But if he can, I think he can be a very, very good college QB. But Jefferson still might wind up being too good to beat out, though.
