You do realize tt in 2001 the program was in year three of draconian NCAA sanctions. The previous two years the official visits were cut in half and they were unable to sign more than 5 players. The loss of Stromile Swift to the NBA was also devestating. Then the team lost starters Brad Bridgewater and Lamont Roland to season ending knee injuries and played the SEC schedule with only five scholarship players.

The fact this team was even in the game to theend against the defending NCAA runnersup was a huge accomplishment.

The 2002 season was one of Brady's best coaching jobs. Despite it's depleted roster the team was competitive in nearly every game then would noticeably hit the wall at about the 35 minute mark.

You do realize that you dont have to defend Brady literally everytime someone says something that you disagree with. Did he have a lot of restrictions? yes he did but he was still an a-hole. its your right to post whatever you want but your not going to convert anyone in to wishing Brady was still here not while we are in first place. I wish I had a nickel for everytime I have seen the words "draconian sanctions" in one of your posts. Brady did good for what he had in the first couple of years but at year 11 it was time for a change for everyone. lets just get behind the team and coach we have now
