I heard the interview too. He just called into the show as a regular caller. He was Herb from NO or something. He started talking about recruiting and said something like he is familiar with the process b/c he was the starting QB for LSU for a few years.

Bobby and Deke went silent for a sec and finally I think Bobby said something like wait is this Herb Tyler. It was kind of funny. He also said something like he thought his son might be a national recruit in a few years (I think he is in 6th grade).

He had some really good insight as how it is as a player and a parent as it pertains to recruiting.

My favorite Tiger of all time!!!

Wasn't the best at any one thing; just good at a lot of 'em!

Had more heart than entire teams do and was P&G through and through!

Yeah, they said "why didn't you tell them who you were, we would have gotten to you a lot sooner."

I listen to 870/105.3 wwl a lot and Tyrone Hughes calls in quite a bit. I don't think any of the hosts, other than maybe Bobby or Deke knew that he was a former saints player. It is good to see that they are just like you and me and concerned about what happens. I think most professional athletes think that way, but you just don't hear it that much.
