Herb Tyler on recruiting

He called into Bobby Hebert's show last night talking about how kids should make every visit they can before committing anywhere. And the parents should stay out of it as much as possible. He said too many parents try to get their kids to go to the school they want them to go to instead of having the kids interests at heart. I agreed with him. He must be doing pretty well for himself, he's got a son at Newman, didn't say what he was currently up to though.

Anyone know of any highlights of his playing days? He was a fun QB to watch.

Herb Tyler was one tough SOB.

And just as importantly represented LSU with class and dignity.

He definitely should be recognized as an all-time great Tiger.

And yes I agree about the Tepper D letting him down time after time after time. But you never heard him complain, he just went back out and gave more.

A buddy of mine that went to OP Walker with Herb and is also close to his family said that Herb is in construction in the NOLA area.

i heard that interview A truely great tiger, he got more out of his talents as Qb than any tiger ever did.
