Herd givin love to Miles! Won a BCS NC, SECCG, Never lost a bowl game, Easily closing in on #1 class. LSU isnt eroding, they are getting stronger, if they had a QB this year they would have prob played for NC again. Said to get over Saban and give Miles credit

i know that, this past year the defense wouldve kept LSU out of the NC game no matter who was at QB.

I don't think RP would have beaten UF, they were just too good that night. However a more experienced, efficient qb, gets the wins over Ga and Ark. and a "big-game" performance could have topped Ole Miss. I can see where Cow-pie is coming from on this one. A lot of defenciencies on defense do get covered up by a good offense much less a great one. The flip side is if all that had happened and we sqeak by UF in the re-match we probably would not have made the necessary changes on the defensive staff. Water under the bridge now and things are looking up once again.

I've talked a lot of smack about Miles, but he is doing a heck of a job at LSU. Congrats Coach Miles

I agree. With a quarterback the other games either should have been won or more winnable (Ole Miss). Florida was not the sharpest in their win over Bamma and a win over Florida puts you in the Championship game.

With good QB play(either with jefferson all season or RP still on team) LSU goes 9-3, Maybe, maybe 10-2, lose to FLa and Arky(defense lost the game to arky)

Truth is if our D could have stopped Tebow on 3rd and 3 we could have won!

UF jumped out to 20-0 lead. W/ 45 secs left on clock before half time, JLee led TD drive. On first posession of 2nd half JLee led TD drive. Score was 20-14 and you could have heard a pin drop. UF fans were MUTE.

On UF's drive we had Tebow at 3rd and 3 and could not stop him. That's what lost the game.

W/ RP we may have been able to score an extra TD in first half and that could have easily put us over the top.

Guys, our defense was a lot worse than anyone expected last year. A better QB would probably have won us a couple of games, but that is it. Our defensive line uneracheived and exposed our young and very poorly coached secondary. I just don't see how we could play the "if and but" game with last year.

We lose to UF, probably UGA, and probably Ole Miss last year with RP as QB.

A better QB would have won us the SEC West last year, everything else after that would have been lagniappe. Probably never would have beaten FLA in a SECCG and therefore would have gone to a better bowl game like the Sugar.

I remember a couple years ago on NSD:

Herd: "And USC just received a commitment from Joe McKnight, the #1 RB in the nation from Louisiana. Facial LSU. You have a cute little program, but you're no USC!" or something to that effect.
