No, if this was the problem he could use a good pair of gloves to overcome it. It may just be that he has small hands.
Personally, I'd love to see him as a tailback on option plays. JJ would get plenty of big runs while teams cheat to TH. And the minute they start focusing on JJ, TH will have an open sideline and he'll be gone. Maybe we could line Scott up at FB and have him come underneath for a shovel pass for a 3rd option (much like UF was doing with the TE).
