You said he was comparing their talent and I'm just pointing out that Johns is not nearly as highly regarded talent wise as two of the players the coach used as a comparison.
I'm not disagreeing with anything the coach said, I'm pointing out that you are wrong that the comparison includes talent level.

Why does race have to be an issue. All the guys that he compared JJ to were LSU players that contributed at a high level their senior year, reguardless of talent. Their race is has nothing to do with it. I hope JJ can come in a perform at that level or greater.

mistretta has won 1 state title, with kids that Sid got there. Sid won 2 in a row and got a runner up. also a basketball title. and i've never heard of a Catholic/Private school referred to as "next step is jail". but ok... and a high school coaches job in the recruiting process is to sell the kid to big programs, why not compare him to hester? looks like it worked out for him

And in the few games I saw, johns lined up at QB and WR a few times. so its not racist to compare him to flynn anymore.

Sid Edwards is a great man and a pretty darn good football coach. He deserved the State coach of the year not JUST for what he did at central but for what he does off the field as well. Sid Edwards has better character than anyone I know. Calling him names is something that you just don't know how wrong you are. Best man I know and easily the best man I would want coaching my kids!

The only thing Sid does wrong in coaching is not stay at one place long enough to establish a West Monroe or John Curtis type program. I know that has to do with his family and him trying to do whats best for them so I can't even really fault him for that.
