I think Tebow is an outstanding football player and appears to be an outstanding young man, but I am sick of this "jump pass" because I have yet to see it run without an ineligible receiver downfield and I have yet to see it called. Every time they run that play, there are OL illegally downfield.

On a forward pass, linemen cannot be downfield unless they have fired out into a defender within 1 yard of them, and have mainteined contact the entire time, and pushed the defender no more than 3 yards downfield. If they lose contact, they must remain immobile. Thus, anytime a forward pass is attempted and there is an offensive linemen across the line of scrimmage who is not standing still, it is supposed to be a penalty.

That is key to the play, as the OL firing off into the LBs as if run-blocking help to sell the fake. When Tebow takes his step forward and the OL are charging out at LBs, that is a key read for them to react to the run because once the OL does that, a forward pass is no longer legal.
