clearinghouse

Can someone please explain to me what the "clearinghouse" is, what it has to do with collegiate athletics, and why it takes it so fricking long to do anything??

Also, what "tests" was DeAngelo trying to pass?? Was he trying to improve his ACT score?? He wasn't in any kind of classes this fall, so who was administering these tests? What were they for??

I'm serious as a heart attack. Does anyone know WTF??

the clearinghouse is the place that makes sure your C in math was really a C in math, and that it was you that got it.

I'm not sure what is up with Benton, the rules were changed recently to state that all of your core had to be complete in 4 years of high school, but you could re-take 1 core immediately after graduation. in the old days, guys were going to prep schools and making up 4-5 core classes in a semester. ACT can still be taken after the fact.

The problem with Benton, is the rules changed during the year after his senior year, now requiring 16 core credits instead of the 14 required for his senior class (I think). So in essence, he would've had 3 classes to take instead of 1 (assuming that 1 was his issue), but the rules say you can only make up 1. probably gave him some sort of a waiver to make up the 3, but my understanding of the rules is you don't have forever to keep trying to get the core.
