Reverence for Ali is similar to that of Elvis. Elvis was a white drug addict who made a lot of people happy singing. Personally, I hated Elvis' singing and I was very sorry when he died because I knew the radio stations would play his songs non stop for a week.
you can't compare these two.
being a drug addict, which i wouldn't doubt if Ali did some drugs in his days, and being a american hating, draft dodging, racist, loudmouth, unappreciative of his freedom and chance he got at stardom all b/c of the country he lived in, peice of shite doesn't compare.
it's not smart to bite the hand that feeds you.
we should have sent his black arse back to africa to rot and die in the serengeti

yeah, Elvis and Ali are nothing alike.
Even in the reverence of Elvis he is still viewed as nothing more than a great entertainer/singer and a pop culture icon.....not some some saint-like, leader of moral causes that ALi is portrayed to be.

I don't know he hated America.

draft dodging
I would have dodged that bullshite war too. Plenty of people did, including plenty of white folk and plenty of people of privilege were fortunate enough not to be called on.

racist, loudmouth, unappreciative of his freedom
Yeah, there is a whole lot of freedom when people who are terrorized from voting by a terrorist group and that group faces no repercussions.

Yeah, blacks were really living the dream back then, let me tell you
