Lemon was his playground. He played for Jefferson when Lemon couldnt field a football team. That was like for 1 season of Minor football.

He played baseball at Jefferson also. I just love how some people feel the need to act like a know it all.

I'm familiar. I just hate know-it alls.

My original post said I played with him at Jefferson and you felt the need to state something that had nothing to do with my post trying to call me out. Then you realized you were wrong then tried to play it off like you knew it all the time.

Wow...that brings back memories, I used to play football, baseball & basketball @ Jefferson playground. Back in the 60's Lemon was still called Harlem playground. We used to kill them, especially in basketball.

reed on pace to beat lott's career int numbers by 23... and in half the time lott played, reed has already surpassed his defensive td's. lott was a consistently bigger hitter, but in their primes reed is a better safety. and his career numbers will eventually reflect this as well

Best safety will the ball in the air --> Reed, hardest hitting safety --> Ronnie Lott.

Went to D'Han. Dinardo didn't do a great job recruiting him. Another problem was Rondell Mealy wasn't happy at LSU at the time and didn't have great things to say about LSU. This turned off people very influential in Ed's life and they didn't want him going to LSU. Lastly, Curtis Johnson was from St. Rose, so it didn't help us compared to Miami.
