Actually, it pissed me off, but I am of the opinion that, classy or not, we are on the field to play the game to the last whistle. Class is good, but you can neither legislate it, nor whine about it if it's absent. You just play the game. You fight fire with fire.

Were I Johnson, I would have instructed my DE's to hit Jefferson every single play, penalty or not. Not intentionally dirty or deliberately injuring him, just hit him hard every play he's in.

I guarantee you Miles would have taken him out. To me, pulling starters is more of an effort to keep them from getting injured in meaningless time, and to get your 2-deep PT.

The fake punt was classless, but didn't hurt my feelings at all. We're big boys in a big boy game. However, I can be just as classless as the next guy when it's time. Last night was time, IMO.

So a perfectly legal football play would result in illegal activity by a team coached by you...

If they could have caught him to hit him in the first place you wouldnt be down by 35.

When you step on the stage with the lights on and folks watching, getting dickslapped is really embarassing isnt it. A few other coaches that have been referred to as classless....Stoops, Meyer, Carroll, Spurrier, Bowden.........all of these have one thing in common with Miles, that being a NC.

Actually, he would have whipped your arse worse.

I wouldn't be worried about the fake punt LSU pulled off. I would be wondering about a fake punt inside my own 30 and putting the ball in the hands of a guy that runs a 5.0 40. That was just stupid and you could tell that the GT players where done.

To restate for you, I'd tell the guys to push the edge of the envelope, hit the QB every play, and don't worry about the penalty if it comes. Nothing dirty, just make sure he's on his butt every time you can get him there.

If your hitting a guy when he doesn't have the ball and you're getting a penalty for it, THAT IS DIRTY!!!
