True, but not only that, Saban did not recruit White as QB. He was recruited as an athlete and Saban had him switching to DB. As I recall, just before signing day, Rich Rodriguez offered him the chance to play QB (the only major school that did) and White jumped at the chance and backed out of his commitment to LSU to sign with WVA.

White's had an amazing college career as a QB and is a great all around athlete (drafted in the 4th round in the MLB draft coming out of HS), but whether that will translate to the pros remains to be seen. He would certainly be a top round pick had he played DB in college as Saban projected.

As far as I know, WVU was the only decent team willing to offer him at QB. Most schools wanted him at WR or DB.
