I’m in section 9, between OFE and Candlelight park. Haven’t seen any lineman working backyards yet.

My area is still not colored on the maps they put out. Someone called and was told it’s bc they don’t have an eta.

These types of things bring out the worst in them. I do enjoy it when everyone is this salty though because they usually get hammered in the comments.

It was five days without power for us after 4/27/2011. The weather was beautiful, so we stayed at home through it. If you want to know how long it takes to get used to no lights to the point that you stop flipping the light switch every time you enter a room......it is five days.

Our power came back on in the middle of the night, at something like 2AM. I remember the bedside lamp coming on and the light from it waking me up shining in my eyes. I guess I was still half asleep or just used to having no lights that I reached up, turned the lamp off, and grabbed my flashlight to look and see what was going on.

Damn that sucks. Still seeing people in section 13 & 14 being told maybe EOW because there's so much damage behind houses. I have a feeling they're about to start taking chainsaws to fences to get some digger derricks back there to place poles.

I don't have internet and we have particularly shitty phone service at the house which sucks but at least the A/C is working. I'm waiting on my generator install quote so this doesn't happen again.

WE HAVE POWER!!!!!
They were working in my street all day.
6 days…144 hours of running my generator. She held up great.

We were lucky and had internet. I’m on att fiber and when I plugged the generator into the house, WiFi was working. Never went out.

Going whole home permanent set up like a generac? I went the cheaper way and got a big portable generator, converted to natural gas. Ran a line from my gas meter to the generator, and put an interlock and 50 amp plug into my panel. Ran the whole house including ac’s, and some neighbors fridges too. This way is about 8000-10000 cheaper.
Let me know if you want to see what I did or need any help with it if you go this route. After the 2021 freeze I went down a rabbit hole researching.

Same. Got power today. Day 6.75.

Gasoline generator did well. Had to unbind the gas string. Changed oil 3 times. 3 trips to bucees for ethanol free gas.

ETA: is that everyone in here that has power now?
