There isn’t a single argument for them. They don’t have the speed/strength/explosiveness of even NBA players, much less NFL players. They are a frog hair above baseball players honestly.

Rico Gathers got drafted in the 6th round by the Cowboys not playing a down of college football a few years ago. There was talk about the dude from NC State getting drafted this year.
Willing to bet he’s played less than 250 snaps in a regular season game since then

False.

Again, who?
What skill position players are 6-2 without shoes, in the NFL?
Then imagine that being about the minimum height to be in the NBA, so they're going to be competing with point and shooting guards.
And if these guys could play in the NBA, why aren't they? That's an insanely dumb decision to make.

What are you talking about?
Westbrook is 6’2 with a 30 inch vertical and had 12 reps at 185 pounds
Revis is 5’11 with a 38 inch vertical and had 16 reps at 225
These are massive differences in athletic profiles.

You can’t just make shite up.
He’s listed at 6’4” and 200 lbs.
I don’t care what his measured vertical was, although I seriously doubt it’s 30”, he’s one of the most explosive athletes to ever play in the nba.
Westbrook doesn’t work out so he can tackle Derrick Henry like Revise has to do.

I do think about a guy like Joe Alt. He was just measured at almost 6'10. He is a good athlete and played TE before moving to OT. If he would have trained at basketball, could he have played at the next level?
I mean, he maybe could have? But 6’10 is not that big in the NBA unless you have elite athleticism or can stretch the floor.

NBA players are incredible athletes as are baseball, football etc. But the notion that NBA dudes can play in the NFL because they are big or fast or whatever the argument is, is absolutely delusional.
Rob Gronkowski went on the manningcast and flat out said he didn't know the plays. He was just bigger and faster than the people covering him so he got away with it.
NBA players are absolute freaks of nature. Give the top 5 power forwards in the league a summer and I guarantee you they're doing Gronkowski type numbers. shite, most NBA players barely work at their craft and they still make millions. It's crazy how blessed they are physically.

No shite. Average NBA player is probably 6’8”. Don’t believe same for NFL and height is a prerequisite for NBA

The metrics I listed are from the NBA combine. Posted on the NBAs official website.

it would be "easier" for an NBA player to play football than a football player to play in the NBA.
Myles Garrett is the same height as Steph Curry he's still getting bodied by big boys in the NBA.
take Wembenyama on the goalline and just make him run fades no one is stopping that without committing a penalty

Are you seriously claiming that no non-linemen in the NFL are over 6’2? Is that seriously what you are saying?

It fluctuates between 6’6-6’7 but that’s listed height which is very sus.

Yeah, when he was 19. They can still grow, and do. He's 6'4" 200lbs, and they aren't lying on their measurements any more in the nba, and that's from the nba's official website.

He’s too lanky… he’ll have to have strength to beat a jam, to get to his spot and not get muscled off on the jump (where it won’t matter how tall he is) and then come down with the ball
It works in the NBA because he doesn’t have to get hit and his defenders have similar bodies

No?
There aren't that many, which is where the comparable population to discuss begins. That's the point.

I bet I could put together a basketball team of NFL players that would fare better in a basketball game against an NBA team, than any football team of NBA players would in a football game against an NFL team.

But I have to imagine if you give Naz Reid or someone like him a year, he can play NFL football and be worth a roster spot.
