I know there are some folks on TD that have experienced several hurricanes with loss of property. With hurricanes you usually have a little time to prepare. Tornadoes are so dang unpredictable and reek terror on folks.

Every time I hear a tornado watch is out I almost immediately visualize it either coming down the TN river or coming across the river…. straight for us. It’s happened a few times during our 22 years living on the river.

I can’t imagine riding out a hurricane.

I know each weather event is terrible in its own way, but living on the gulf coast, and only dealing with hurricanes, (never seen a tornado in my life) I couldn’t imagine dealing with tornados, and I’ve lost my home to a hurricane in Laura. The destruction it does with a matter of 15 minutes heads up at most is hard to wrap your head around. My heart goes out to all the people that have had to deal with these outbreaks.
