Does U High still offer the IB Diploma program? That is a fabulous academic achievement. Don't know if other area schools have upper classmen taking LSU classes, but I believe U High still does that.
Two excellent schools for sure.

Readily available standardized test scores
Many UHS students attend universities with low to single digit acceptance rates (along with less prestigious schools). That’s with graduating classes of around 100-125 kids. This year those universities include Duke, Princeton, Dartmouth, Tufts, 2 to the Naval Academy, 1 to West Point, 3 to Tulane, 2 to UGA (tough for OOS, let alone 2 from one school), along with many other schools with decently low acceptance rates that have shifted from “target” schools to “reaches” the last few years. If anyone is following the madness of college admissions these last few years, this is quite an accomplishment from a small school and indicates these universities consider it rigorous and high quality even if the posters on TD don’t. I don’t see anything from SJA that suggests their students are more prepared for college or are admitted to more prestigious universities.
Class of 2023 average ACT:
UHS 25.5 (according to school profile/website) $5,381.03
SJA 25.2 (according to the school website)
$13,054
CHS 25.4 (according to school profile/website)
$13,245
Just for fun:
EHS 26.9
$21,966
BRMHS 25.8
$free
Dunham 28 (according to Niche but all schools listed showed a higher ACT on Niche than what was reported by the school itself)
$22,405+
Conclusion: they’re all competitive with one another academically and UHS and BRMHS are bargains.
My unscientific receipts:
SJA recent colleges
UHS 2023 school profile
UHS Class of 2024 college acceptances on school’s FB page
SJA FB pictures of college t-shirts (maybe someone can post 2024 colleges)
School websites and Niche
