…or maybe it was because Tiger was the biggest amateur phenom the sport has ever seen, wasn’t your typical rich white country club kid, and took a leap of faith investing in him like they did with Jordan in the 80s. Turns out they struck gold with that investment

Golf was stagnant when Tiger came on the scene. You can debate who is a better golfer but Tiger’s impact on the popularity and growth of the sport is undeniable

They made golf popular enough for it to grow into what it is today. When they started filtering out the game was a heck of a lot more lucrative than when they started. Today’s golfers are benefiting from their contribution big time..

Jack was best in his day, woods was best in his. No way of comparing them head to head in their prime without seeing them play each other that way.
