If we oust him before the election and give the House Speakership to Jeffries, it would be one of the biggest acts of dumbfrickery I've ever seen. MTG and the rest of these people need to chill out with this motion to vacate Johnson.
Trump will be impeached Jan 21 if the dems hold the house and senate

If he and they stood absolutely staunchly on hardcore “principle” and sat down with their arms crossed and bottom lip poked out and refused to talk unless everyone gave into their principles, well quite frankly the country would come to a grinding halt and the government would cease to function in any way whatsoever. And let’s stop for a moment and consider that concept of “principles”……whose principles are we talking about here? Johnson’s? Mine? Yours? 10 million other people’s own personally tailored principles?
Everyone seems to think that there’s one correct set of principles, and I think we can obviously say that everyone thinks that one correct set is their own. Their own singular set of principles, as opposed to 10 million other different sets of principles. At the end of the day Johnson’s job is to govern and provide for the common welfare of the people. And seeing as how he/they aren’t quite feasibly going to be able to settle on a single set of principles that satisfies us all, the next most rational and legitimate and logical thing he/they can do is make the best decisions he/they can that are ultimately the best for the most amount of people. We shouldn’t be surprised when as an obvious result of that reality that some or even many of those decisions might not exactly meet with our complete satisfaction.
**None of that’s directed at you or anyone else specifically, just very broad and overarching food for thought.
yeah that's all well and good, except that "the best decisions for the most amount of people" or whatever almost ALWAYS looks a whole hell of a lot like giving into the Left and getting nothing in return, and then calling it "compromise".
he's compromised, all right.

Massie and MTG are posturing. They know the vote goes nowhere.
This is to make an attempt to salvage some hope for those of us that see nothing but a UNI party that we will still consider voting for Republicans in the fall. Maybe there are a few left with a backbone.
My own rep has started to vote with the UNI party on pretty much everything now (he is a freshman and had been following Massie's lead on votes but has left the farm the last few months).
I will vote for him, but have let him know that I do not care for his recent votes.

Just my opinion, but at this current point in time I put that squarely on the splintering and division and discord within the Republican Party in Congress, and find it more detrimental and damaging for the Republicans than I find the level of the same type of splintering and division and discord within the ranks of the Democrats. They just deal with it better thus at this particular time they have a slight leg up. Which again goes back to the idea of so many competing factions battling over whose set of principles is correct. And “it’s my way or the highway” in that regard.
For as long as this country has existed and however long it continues to exist, compromise and negotiation will forever be a very significant part of the process. I think how it comes down to which side gains the upper hand and nets the better outcome(s) between the two sides, that is all about how well each side coalesces amongst themselves and comes to terms with the reality that even amongst their own party, before they even face off with the Democrats, compromise and negotiation is unavoidable and necessary amongst themselves. The better a party understands that and works together within that framework, the better footing that party will have when moving against the other side.

Republicans will have division because most of them, to varying degrees, are still focusing on issues. the Left doesnt have the same level of discord because even though they might see little things different here and there, the issues for the most part are just a means to an end. they are all ultimately unified behind a single purpose - a complete radical Leftist takeover of the country and permanent power.

the Left never seems to compromise anything though. like i cant think of a single thing in recent memory.

Well for one they don’t seem to be having a blowup with possibility of ousting their own leaders on a seemingly monthly basis. So that bodes well for them in comparison to the chaos of the Republicans. They’re somehow avoiding that catastrophe.

in my opinion you are confusing the symptoms with the causes. they avoid that catastrophe by never compromising, ever. there is no crisis of leadership when everyone marches in full lockstep with the agenda of "give the enemy nothing, and take everything you can"

What about when he’s taking a dive and throwing the game??
When it's the fourth quarter and he's thrown the game so badly that you're down six scores, the only reason to pull him is to keep him from getting hurt.

A more apt description is that you fire a coach before the end of the season so the transfer portal window isn't extended beyond what it normally is.

I say it constantly to deaf ears.. we lose bc we act like losers. Getting rid of Johnson at this point, even threatening it, is a loser mentality

What do you do when the backup is all but guaranteed to totally destroy your team??
How about the idea of keeping the QB and fill the other positions around him with more effective players.
