My wife once worked for an attorney that always made his own limoncello and gave it out around Christmas. He made it, bottled it in a fancy shaped bottle, capped it with a blue synthetic stopper and had labels made to adorn the bottles.
That stuff was damn good and had a nice kick to it with a nice citrusy aftertaste that stung just a little as it went down. We'd keep the bottle in the freezer until it was gone.

I've made coffee liquor a few times. It's basically just vodka, simple syrup, concentrated coffee, and a vanilla bean. It gets better the longer you let it age, but is drinkable immediately.
The ingredients cost about as much as a bottle of an off-brand coffee liquor, like Kamora, so I stopped making it.
