I’m glad someone made this thread.

I’m sad because I found a church with people I really like and they’re UMC. I was figuring I could look past what happens at the general conference as long as my home church doesn’t have queer clergy, but there was a little something else passed today.

There was a ban on using church funds to support groups that are pro-LGBT. That was lifted.

In its place, there is now a ban on using church funds to support groups that are anti-LGBT.

The horse is out of the barn- modern Protestantism has largely turned into a left wing political apparatus. If you tithe at any centralized Anglican-descended mainstream church, your tithes are funding pro-lgbt groups.


Southern Baptists and Roman Catholics hate each other but are the last vestiges of true Christianity. They may not agree on how to be a Christian, but they sure as shite agree on what makes you a sinner.

Kind of surprised the UMC big tent held together for as long as it did.

Hard to fathom that a Hilary Clinton and a John Kennedy can both be members of the same church org.
