Nope. It’s fair compensation for work done which makes the company millions in profit. The not allowing players to be paid was as unAmerican as it could get. This is capitalism doing what capitalism is supposed to do. Supply and demand. These players have a skill that is in high demand and the supply of people with these skills is low. To be in favor of any other system is to be in favor of communism.

This idea that these players are “getting one over on teams” needs to end. Though this sentiment is generally held by people who have never been headhunted for their professional abilities.

I 100% agree but with the transfer portal there has to be some type of limit on transfers. The current model isn't sustainable.

I mean that would be for the league to decide IF the players would agree to it. Unfortunately for the colleges, the players actually hold all the power here. They just don’t realize it yet. If all the top players refused to play college football that little “rule” the NFL has about drafting players out of high school would be home instantaneously. Sure, they may not give the players the same contracts right out of high school as the currently do for players out of college, but you can rest assured they’d be drafting them just like the do in every other sport. These top players would just spend a season or two on the practice squad then move over to officially on the Sunday team roster.

I don’t have an issue with the current system. There is nothing in place that keeps coaches from moving from job to job every year. Why should the people who actually do the real work that makes the money be any different?
