It was an exciting homerun, but let’s not forget, they brought in a position player and he served him up a 61 mph dick high fun ball on a silver platter. I’m only 7 years removed from my last collegiate at bat and I think I probably could’ve hit that ball up in the grand stands.

Watch it now, you be called a dick questioning the great Zeb,

Didn't think I was been a dick, just questioning a posters hyperbole about this dude being the "best" at ever level he's played and can't get on the field now.
Anyway, to the poster who asked, it’s just Zeb. Not short for anything.

He was actually a freshman last year and I think he redshirted. Probably not the instant starter we are used to getting but hopefully he can grow and have enough talent to produce at least as a reserve if he stays. If not, he may start at ULM or Tech and stand out more. At least he can always remember tonight if nothing else comes from it.

Has he now? So the LSU baseball coach has keep his player on the bench for 2 years? That is amazing, he was better than Dylan Crews last year and never saw the field.

Just give him time.
Lol, he's been at LSU right at 2 years now, how much time is he needing to get to play in a game other than Grambling when they are up by 20?
Man, you are so cool. I bet people tell you all the time how cool you are.

Worst pitching I have ever seen at college level.

He just got lost in the shuffle of a very crowded outfield.
With Kling being in the equation for most of the season? Are you serious?

Zeb’s the real deal. My oldest played ball with his older brother. Zeb
Man, I read that as “his older brother, Zeb”. I was hoping, and for a moment I thought it might be true, but I guess the brothers have different names.

I’d like to understand what the coaches are seeing because I have followed fall ball and both off seasons he has hit for a lot of power and didn’t strike out a bunch. Not sure if it is just because he didn’t have a high ranking coming in but overall the kid has done well in the fall at the plate. In my opinion, he should have gotten an opportunity before Neal did in RF.

Obv with Larson filling that spot we should at least kick the tires on him in an SEC game at center field. And people can say that’s crazy but he literally can not do any worse than 0-10 at the plate over a weekend. There should be no cards off the table when it comes to finding a guy to fill that spot.

been a big fan of zeb ever since i saw him take skeenes deep 2 times in one scrimmage. he red shirted last year. proves to me he wants to play for LSU. this year i could tell he would be in the number crunch. glad he got his first last night.

Zeb actually struggled a little this fall. He did have a great scrimmage towards the end with two highlight catches and a homer.
We had Bingham, Kling, Pearson, Frey, Brown as our likely potential starters. None of them really took the bull by the horns. Larson has passed all of them. Zeb and Paul are quality outfielders but were down the depth chart.
Unless Zeb or Paul force their way in like Larson did. It's hard to give up on the guys we thought were our potential starters.

Nothing has been made public as far as I could find. Nothing on his twitter and he's still listed on the roster. He's also not on the D1 Portal, which was updated not too long ago.

Even if you take Kling out of the equation you still have Ethan Frey, Brady Neal, Jake Brown, Mac Bingham, Ashton Larson, and Josh Pearson all getting starts in the outfield.

He was in the dug out last night

Why do people keep bringing up last nights pitching? We know it was terrible. It doesn’t make you some guru that can spot terrible pitching. And the dude that Ruddell went deep on is the same guy that struck out Neal. No one is saying give the guy a start this weekend.

I'm almost positive I saw it on this website . I think it was in one of the homepage write ups. Not sure if those changes be searched for
