The current one was put in charge of the border crisis, and the one before that was appointed the head of the White House Covid Taskforce. There’s no brighter spotlight opportunities than those two issues. What they do with the opportunity is on them.

While campaigning, but I agree with your sentiment. There's nothing to gain from either perspective with Desantis as VP though. I'll be shocked if it isn't a woman.
