They’ve pushed Simms out all the way from calling the games with Nantz lol

NBC needs to replace Chris Simms. He’s terrible.

Simms' ego was out of control. When he got moved out of the booth he felt like he was above the rest of the guys at the desk. And his assault on anything Esiason said/did got old pretty quickly.

I'm hard-pressed to recall the last time I watched a pregame show, particularly on CBS or Fox.

The vague insight/analysis combined with the fake guffawing is unbearable. I get more matchup insight from pro/amateur youtuber accounts.

90% of the talking heads & color commentators from the 80s & 90s really have no business breaking down 2020s football, outside of maybe PFF owner Chis Collinsworth. The game did a 180 since they last played and their anecdotal situational game recounts are irrelevant.

They need to go all TNT basketball.

Who would be their Chuck and Shaq?

And yet Doris Burke gets to help call NBA games and is incredibly cringy to listen to.

Pregame shows are too long, there are too many of them and there are too many people on all of them.

Matt Ryan is going to the biggest milqetoast snoozefest generic 'analyst' that they could have hired. Will he better Tha Phil Simms? Probably, but he brings nothing to the table.

I'd much rather have had Smokin' Jay on the panel instead, or Belichick, who showed to be one of the only guys who will actually tell the truth about gameplay.
