I'm not an expert on this portion of the case, but wasn't he given opportunities to return the documents prior to the indictment?
There's so much lying going on all around everything related to Trump, who really knows? What if the story in the OP is true? What if Trump genuinely thought he had some personal stuff and docs he could keep? Remember the HUGE deal your people made about him having multiple framed copies of himself on the Time cover? Y'all shouted about how that meant how much of a narcissist that made Trump for months like a bunch of jealous losers.
In short, I don't believe a fricking word from anyone in the media when it comes to Trump. I automatically assume they're lying.
